Portrait of a calm looking Aloy.
Media: Ink and watercolours.

Using thing outlines I focuses on light and subtle shadows. When looking at source images it’s very easy to assume that the shadows are just black or grey. However, shadows are very rarely pure white, instead it’s often warm or cold. In turn, the shadows will be the complimentary colour of the light’s colour.

The intention was to colour this image as well, but I was too happy with the way the line art turned out. On top of that I felt like I fully captured the her character and calmness of a moment.
