This adorable little puppy belongs to a friend of mine. He’s a Poochon, a Poodle and Bichon Frisé mix. Of course by the time you guys see this image Aurthur has grown up a bit more, but he has kept his amazing red fur with curls which look super soft.
This portrait gave me a bit of a challenge as he’s got such a curly coat, which is a bit different to what I have painted in the past, but I am so pleased with the results. I love working in limited colour palettes, and I find it’s a fun to see where and how I can push this, and it’s even more interesting to work with animals who have different coats and markings.
