For the second year running I decided to take part in an art challenge called Doggust. The challenge was to follow a prompt list for the month of August, and the list consisted of a different dog breed for each day. I wanted to capture the individual breeds and give the individual dogs a bit of personality.

Listed below are the dogs in the order they were drawn.

The Swedish Vallhund, is a small dog breed, with a long body and short legs (think Corgi), but with a tail which curls up over its back (think Norwegian Elkhound). This dog was painted in cream, reddish brown, and darker brown variations, with the darker colours focused around the back, neck, and sides of the body, while the lighter colours are found on the muzzle, throat, chest, belly, buttocks, feet and hocks. The dog is painted digitally in front of a bright yellow background.
