Oliver in memoriam

A memorial image of the wonderful cat that was Oliver, which I painted after he was put to sleep, due to old age, going blind and generally failing health. He was an absolutely lovely cat to the end, and as he was so loved and an image needed to be painted showing him all cozy and at peace. Truth be told, we had an inkling that this would happen, so we were very lucky to be able to take a lot of photos of him in the final days and weeks, including the reference image used for this painting.
