The band members of Fall Out Boy featured in this poster were actually part of a slightly different poster. However, after I completed the initial poster I wanted to see if I could work with typography a bit more and see how that would blend with some of the imagery.
The images used in this poster also posed a bit of a change of style. Initially I painted more naturalistic portraits, but this style created by using a limited colour palette ended up inspiring a slightly different style which I have also found quite suitable for portraits. I’ve actually painted the members of Fall Out Boy both using the naturalistic style and the more simplified portait style.
