I’m not gonna lie, I have been painting a hell of a lot of male people as of late, and decided that I needed to change things up and draw more women. During October 2020 I decided to paint a series of black women in music, this series had to include Beyoncé. This image is based on a promotional image for “The Lion King: The Gift”, the soundtrack for The Lion King (2019) which was curated by Beyoncé.
