I realise that I have done a lot of landscape paintings, but very few of them contain things like buildngs and man-made things. Therefore I decided to do an image study of this image by the very talented photographer Liam Wong. I chose this image in particular as I loved the mood, and I thought it would be a lot of fun, and a challenge with all the lanterns and lights. This crowded little alley is known as Memory lane, and is located in Shinjuku in Tokyo.
